YRM E-News Feb 22, 2019

E-news Lives Again, and Just in Time!

With this report we are again publishing our weekly E-news.  The E-news keeps our members and supporters abreast of the latest ministry happenings, including progress in outeach, news of the Feasts, publication announcements, and future plans.

Since the 2018 Feast of Tabernacles we have been working tirelessly on several extensive outreach projects as well as renovations at our facility at Holts Summit. Get all the details in this E-news.

Our App Is Launched

Our mobile app is now available through Apple, Android, and Amazon devices. From the app you can watch our YRM video network playing 24/7 as well as live events like weekly Sabbath services. Also on the app you can access all our archived TV and teaching videos; music; submit prayer requests for networked prayer; read all our booklets and the current magazine as well as the Restoration Study Bible, and see a local event calendar along with weekly ministry news and much more – all at your fingertips. (To download the app simply go to the app store and search for Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry) Download the app today!

More Updates on Roku

Our Roku channel has also been revamped with much more content. This medium is becoming a serious contender among our many avenues of electronic ministry. Search Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry on your Roku device.

Second Floor Conversion

For years the upper room at the east end of the meeting hall has been vacant. It was once used as an audio recording studio until the studio was moved to the TV operations center. It will now serve during services as extra seating for parents with young children in a windowed balcony. This will also help free up seating space in the meeting hall during Feasts and special events.

Kitchen Is Expanding

Having finished the YRM activities and lodging building we are now working on renovating our main kitchen. Our goal is for a more commercial facility for use mainly during the Feasts. Many of the appliances were purchased at a sale in St. Louis where we were able to save tens of thousands of dollars by buying used. For example, a Hobart convection oven and a Traulsen roll-in refrigerator were acquired at a fraction of the price of new. Also, we intend to do most of the labor ourselves in an effort to economize. A conservative estimate of renovation costs is $18,500. If you would like to help with these expenses you can donate through the YRM app (either tap the “Give” function tab or the “Support this ministry” section on the main page) or in any of the ways listed below.

RT Now in Full Color

Enhancements to the Restoration Times (RT) magazine are keeping up with the many ongoing improvements in our web site (yrm.org). For the past two issues the RT has gone full color. We strive for excellence in biblical teaching along with a desire to present Yahweh’s truths as attractively as possible in all of our outreach endeavors.

Ways You Can Support YRM

We are blessed by those who give tithes and regular offerings. They are the backbone of this ministry, carrying the lion’s share of paying the monthly bills and helping our outreach grow. You can help this ministry through the new app, check, money order; credit card; PayPal and automatic pay through your bank (contact us).

How does a tree branch reveal “Yahshua” as the Savior’s Name in the Old Testament?
A. It grows out of Yahweh’s Name (Yah-shua/Yah-weh)
B. His Name is a strong tower, not a branch
C. The name Joshua (Yahshua) in the Old Testament is called a Branch.
D. There is no connection.

Zechariah 6:12 connects the same name of two men. It says that “Joshua…whose name is the BRANCH, will build the temple of Yahweh and will rule upon His throne.” Only the Son Yahshua fulfills that role as He branches out into other roles. This passage shows that Joshua as high priest (3:1-5) and Yahshua share the same name. In the Hebrew they are both “Yahshua.”

2018 Annual Donation Letter

Greetings Brethren and Supporters in Yahshua,

The secular new year gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on a very busy, productive, and blessed
2018. Yahweh has clearly been guiding every step of the way and our prayer is that you are enjoying His
goodness as well, as you put Him first in your life. Thanks to you, our shared efforts to reach the world with
His Truth are bearing fruit for His glory. Your 2018 annual tax-deductible receipt is enclosed, and we
cannot thank you enough for your dedication and prayers that make it all happen.

The biggest milestone of the year was the virtual completion of the new recreation and lodging center for
Feasts and events. Volunteer brethren worked their hearts out all summer and fall in a determined push to
prepare the lodging facility for Tabernacles. One day we counted 44 volunteers in the building and parking
lot “work area,” sanding and painting the 52 doors and trim as well as the lumber to make the 100-plus
bunkbeds for the 27 sleeping rooms. YRM has always been blessed with dedicated brethren who give of
their time and skills because they love the brotherhood and desire to see this ministry go forward. That is
true love of Yahshua, Matthew 25:40. Our sincerest “thank you” to all the volunteers and to you who
donated to the building fund, as well as your continual support of our daily outreach efforts.

With the multi-faceted outreach that defines YRM, we are always busy updating, expanding, and improving
as we look for greater and better ways to be more effective in spreading Yahweh’s Truth. As seen in the
latest, full-color Restoration Times magazine, we will soon have a new mobile app that will give
unprecedented access to our archives as well as integration with Roku, the website, and direct live
streaming. You will be able to watch all our Roku videos and classic sermons free on the App Store and
Google Play. Our live-streaming audio and video will also be upgraded and fine-tuned in the coming
months. This improvement will give much smoother online presentations as well as access to all we offer.

We are also working on a new, expanded edition of the Restoration Study Bible. The supply of the outreach
edition paperback RSB is now depleted.

Our small, Gideon-like workforce faces big challenges and great opportunities, and with your help we will
use every means and ability Yahweh gives us to get His Truths to the world.

Please remember YRM in your prayers, as we do you. And may Yahweh bless you.

In Yahshua’s Saving Name,

Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry

 Recent Q&A’s

What is your position regarding those who call themselves Jews today?
You say that the temple was not on the Temple Mount, but within the ancient City of David. 1Chronicles 3:1 states that it was on Mt. Moriah. How can both be right?

Progress on Activities Building

We continue to make excellent progress on our activities building. This week we had a “work night” with many volunteers to sand, stain, and cut wood for the upper level bunk beds. Ryan, Lucas, and James have also made considerable headway with the communal bathrooms, kitchen, and dorm rooms. Delwin Wilson is also nearing completion on the upstairs carpet. While we are on schedule to have the facilities completed by Tabernacles, there remains much work to be done. Fall Feasts Approaching

The fall Feasts will soon be upon us. For those new to this faith, Yahweh’s Feast days are critically important. Not only are they commanded and will be observed in the millennial Kingdom, but they also reveal His plan of salvation for mankind. The fall Feasts focus on Yahshua’s Second Coming, the establishment of the Kingdom, and the final judgment of mankind. If you are unable to join us in Holts Summit, we will be broadcasting live during these Feasts (Tabernacles online to be limited to high days and weekly Sabbath)

Feast of Trumpets: September 11
Day of Atonement: September 20
Feast of Tabernacles: September 25 – October 1
Last Great Day: October 2

The Bible is a living document that changes with the culture.

A. True
B. False

While many believe that Yahweh’s Word changes with the times, Malachi 3:6 states, “For I am Yahweh, I change not.” Our Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today, and forever. This is also true of His Word. The same standards of morality in the Old also apply in the New Testament. While society may accept homosexuality, transgender, and other abominable lifestyles, the Bible forbids them and defines them as sin.

Second quarter donation receipts, April – June, were mailed this week. We sincerely thank all those who generously support this Ministry. Our efforts are made possible only through your assistance. As we find in the third chapter of Malachi, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith Yahweh of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it,” verse 10. Paul states that the Messiah is the end, termination, of the Law?

A. True
B. False

While Paul does state that the Messiah is the “end of the law” in Romans 10:4, he is not referring to termination. The Greek word for end is telos and can refer either to a goal or termination point. Strong’s states, “…to set out for a definite point or goal); properly, the point aimed at as a limit, i.e. (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination [literally, figuratively or indefinitely], result [immediate, ultimate or prophetic], purpose); specifically, an impost or levy (as paid).” Since Yahshua stated in Matthew 5:17 that He came not to destroy the law, it would be nonsensical to conclude that He abolished the Law.

Major YouTube Milestone

As an outreach ministry, our main focus has always been evangelism. One of our main sources of outreach is YouTube. Recently we hit a major milestone, surpassing 61,000 subscribers with over 9 million total views. YRM has also expanded to Roku, AppleTV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire. Since inception, we’ve garnered over 1.8 million views from these additional platforms, mostly from Roku. We thank Yahweh for his blessings and awesome provision in allowing us to reach so many with the truth.

Progress on Activities Building

We continue to make excellent progress on our activities building. With more than 25 volunteers this last week, we were able to paint nearly all the upstairs of our activities building. This includes 22 rooms and several hallways. In addition to adult volunteers many of our youth also helped in this endeavor. While we are ahead of schedule, there remains much work to be done. We are receiving bids to carpet the upstairs. Also, our team of brethren is working on the electrical and will be staining the concrete floors on the lower levels in the coming days. This will allow them to finish the communal bathrooms and kitchen. To learn how to help or to see recent photos, please visit our online building donation page.

What is Docetism?

A. The belief that the Father and Son are one in essence.
B. The belief that the Son’s human form was only an illusion.
C. The belief that the Son came to impart secret knowledge.
D. The belief that the Father was a wicked and lesser G-d.

Docetism was a theological controversy in the early church. The word docetism comes from the Greek dokeĩn (to seem) and dókēsis (apparition, phantom). It’s a belief that Yahshua’s human form was only an illusion. Followers of docetism rejected Yahshua’s humanity and the notion that He suffered on the tree. This belief was rejected and deemed heretical at the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE.

According to Peter in his first epistle, how should a minster lead?

A. By force, realizing the end results justify the abuse
B. Passively, allowing the congregation to do as the Spirit moves them
C. By love, being an example and showing admonition when required
D. Depending on the circumstance, all of the above

According to Peter, a minister or pastor (shepherd) is to lead by love and compassion and always serve as an example of what is right and good. “The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Messiah, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of Elohim which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being masters over Yahweh’s heritage, but being examples to the flock,” 1Peter 5:1-3. While admonition or correction is sometimes required, this too should be done with patience. A minister should never lead through force or autocratically. As well, a shepherd should never be so passive that he allows sin and accept that which is unscriptural in the assembly.

Migrating from Live Stream to YouTube

Beginning tomorrow, we are migrating from Live Stream to YouTube for our live Sabbath broadcast. The main reason for the change is cost savings. This will occur right before the start of the Great Tribulation, as confirmed in Revelation 7:1-4, “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohim: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our Elohim in their foreheads. Update on Activities Building

We’ve made considerable progress on the upper level of the activities building. Ryan Mansager, Lucas Cecil, and James Duenow have completed nearly all the framing. Dave Turmenne, who travelled from Maine with his family to be here for Pentecost, donated several days to the ministry providing invaluable assistance. As a master electrician by trade, he ran most of the electric for the upstairs. In addition, this week Pastor Randy Folliard and Levi Mansager installed the insulation in the rooms. The installation of the drywall is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, two weeks ahead of schedule. The immediate need this building will provide is lodging for the upcoming Feast of Tabernacles. It will also be used for other group functions throughout the year. If you would like to assist with this building, we are in need of donations. As believers, it is our responsibility to judge those outside the assembly.

A. True
B. False

As believers, it is not our obligation to judge those in the world and outside the assembly. In 1Corinthians 5:9-13 Paul states, “I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without Elohim judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.” While we are not to judge those without, Paul states that we are to judge those within the body of Messiah. Judge here is not to condemn, but to discern right from wrong.

Not only did all three sisters donate their time, but Eva and Lendia both drove long distances to assist. As a side note, Sister Eva is a professional painter who still works part-time. For those unable to attend, we will be broadcasting the Pentecost service live at 1:30 pm, Central, from yrm.org/live. Pentecost is one of Yahweh’s three pilgrimage Feasts. It depicts the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai (as held by Jewish tradition and indicated in Exodus 19:1) and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Not only was this Feast observed in the Old Testament, but it’s listed several times in the New Testament, Acts 2:1; 20:16, and 1Corinthians 16:8. The only days referenced more often is Passover at 28 times and the Feast of Unleavened Bread at 8 times.

What is NOT true regarding the Gnostics?

A. They believed in the Messiah
B. They were especially concerned with morality
C. They viewed the material world as evil
D. They were most concerned about knowledge

The word “Gnostic” comes from the Greek meaning, “knowledge.” They were a heretical sect that believed in the Messiah, but had a very different outlook regarding who He was and the purpose for His coming. They believed that Yahshua came to impart secret knowledge to His disciples so they could shed their material bodies and ascend to their true natures. For this reason, they viewed the material world as evil. This included their bodies, which they viewed as a form of prison trapping their real self. Since they were not concerned about the physical and focused on obtaining knowledge for the purpose of releasing their divine spark, they were not especially worried about morality.

TEST YOUR TUTELAGE

What is the New Testament fulfillment for Pentecost?

A. Yahshua’s death
B. Yahshua’s resurrection
C. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit
D. Yahshua’s return and the first resurrection

The New Testament fulfillment of Pentecost was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Acts 2:1-4. Interestingly, it is also believed by the Jews and indicated by Scripture that the Law was given to Moses on this day. While the law represents Yahweh’s instruction, the Spirit provides for His wisdom and insight. Regarding the other events: Yahshua’s death is depicted through Passover; His resurrection is commemorated through firstfruits during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and His return along with the first resurrection is likely depicted by the Feast of Trumpets.
