Feast of Weeks May 12

In about a week we will be observing the Feast of Weeks, or Pentecost, at Holts Summit. Those joining us will enjoy an inspiring two days of spiritual uplift and learning. We have 27 lodging rooms in the multipurpose center for a nominal fee of $20 per night. Come join others of like faith for a weekend that only Yahweh can give as we obey His command in this third moed of the year.
You can reserve a room by calling us toll free: 1-844-899-6438

Now Accepting  2019 FOT Reservations

We invite you to the 2019 Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) celebration from the evening of September 15th through September 21th (based on the new moon crescent, it may be observed a day earlier). This important event will be observed in Holts Summit, Missouri, at YRM’s facilities. Watch a video tour of the activity center by Bro. Lucas Cecil at https://yrm.org/tabernacles-2019/  You will also find a Feast schedule and registration form at this URL.

Feast of Tabernacles Worship and Activities

The Feast offers incredible insight into our Father’s plan of salvation for mankind. It represents not only Israel’s 40 years in the wilderness, but prophetically points to the coming Kingdom, when Yahshua will govern the earth with His saints, Revelation 20:6.

Above all, the Feast is a time to worship Almighty Yahweh (Lev. 23:1). There is no greater purpose! To follow this command, we will have daily worship services along with several Bible studies throughout the Feast. We will also have a baptismal service for those seeking immersion into Yahshua’s Name. A Night of Special Music is always a hit, and all are invited to participate. In addition to the inspiring and informative messages and Bible workshops, we have several activities planned, including: volleyball, basketball, bingo, Hebrew dancing, western day, a day at the lake, and so much more!

Kitchen Expansion Fund – Can You Help?

Because our kitchen facility at Holts Summit is woefully inadequate for feasts and other events, we are renovating the facility. A used commercial dishwasher was purchased at a fraction of the cost of new a couple of years ago and we are taking it out of storage for installation. A convection oven and standard gas oven were also purchased used and await installation. Plumbing has recently been completed for the dishwasher. We are doing nearly all the work ourselves as we try to economize.

We estimate the total cost of the kitchen expansion at $13,600, with fire suppression range hood. If you would like to help with any aspect of this project, here is the breakdown you can choose from:

Propane install:                                        $1,500

Framing:                                                  $3,000

Range hood with fire suppression:        $6,300

(Range hood without fire suppression  $3,000)

Split unit AC:                                            $1,500

Wall panels of stainless steel for oven:  $1,300

Help with any of these items would be great blessing to YRM. This much-needed project will bring many years of convenience and enjoyment for all who come for Yahweh’s Feasts.

What is the Nomina Sacra?

  1. Manuscripts from a heretical sect of the fifth century
  2. Old Testament scrolls discovered near Mt. Sinai in Arabia
  3. Rabbinic writings that are only nominally sacred
  4. Word abbreviations found in the Greek New Testament

The term Nomina Sacra is Latin for “Sacred Names” and refers to abbreviations found in the early Greek New Testament manuscripts. As noted in the Restoration Study Bible, “[It] was a literary device used to abbreviate several words in early Greek NT manuscripts. Bruce Metzger’s book, Manuscripts of the Greek Bible, lists 15 examples of these abbreviations from Greek papyri: God, Lord, Jesus, Christ, Son, Spirit, David, cross, mother, father, Israel, Savior, man, Jerusalem, and heaven (examples appear as found in KJV). Except for ‘mother,’ which is not found until the 4th century CE, all other Nomina Sacrahave been found in Greek manuscripts from the first through third centuries CE. While scholars are still debating their purpose, some propose that this shortening of key words may have been used to replace the Tetragrammaton (see Ex. 3:15) with the common title Kurios(typically abbreviated ‘KS’ with a line above), in Greek Christian manuscripts, as found within this passage. This offers a possible explanation as to why Yahweh’s Name is missing from the Greek NT. In fact, in those places where the Tetragrammaton should appear, the definite article is missing in front of the [Nomina Sacra]. This conclusion is supported also by German scholar David Trobisch’s work, The First Edition of The New Testament….” (note on Matt. 1:22).   Answer: D.

What is the biblically-documented way to lead people to the Messiah?
A – The law
B – The book of John
C – Telling them Yahweh loves them
D – Having a good testimony
Many have become acquainted with the Savior through the book of John. But Paul declares that the law is a “schoolmaster” leading us to the Messiah (Galatians 3:24). Much has been written about the Greek word for “schoolmaster.” It is an excellent metaphor for the process that leads to the conviction of sin. Upon our conversion Yahshua points us back to the law (Matthew 5:17-20), not as a harsh schoolmaster, but as the basis for knowing our sacred duty in a new life in Him.
Answer: A
“Worship is not about you but about Him. Follow His Word no matter where it takes you.”

Second Passover
A reminder that we will be rebroadcasting this year’s Passover service online tonight at 8:00 CT. Those who are immersed into Yahshua’s Name but who missed the Passover a month ago for being on a journey, must log on tonight, Num. 9:13. You will need some matzo (unleavened bread) and grape juice (not wine). Simply follow the service and partake when the time comes. You can join the foot-washing portion if you are sharing the service with others. Watch live here>>

Below is the letter sent this week to all contributors
May Yahweh find you and yours enjoying a welcomed change from the difficult weather conditions that at least half of the country experienced this winter.  Even though many brethren and supporters of YRM faced financial challenges the last several months, the needs of this ministry were not neglected and we were able to keep above water financially. We are thankful that a turnaround is underway and we praise Yahweh that we can now move forward in greater ways to evangelize Yahweh’s Truth to a world in spiritual meltdown.

We had a truly memorable and fulfilling Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread at Holts Summit as brethren from all four borders of the country and Europe joined us in obedience to Yahweh’s command, Leviticus 23:5-8. The week was filled with invigorating worship and fellowship, learning, and entertainment. There were eye-opening messages, special musicians on the night of the Mediterranean dinner, youth classes and activities, eye-opening Bible studies and three seminars, including two on learning biblical Hebrew. We were also blessed with four baptisms. Those attending all seven days went away spiritually refreshed and well-fed in every sense.

The next in Yahweh’s seven annual Feasts is Pentecost on May 12. Come for an inspiring double-Sabbath weekend. Lodging is plentiful in our 27-room activity center or you can find commercial accommodations in town.

The remaining Feasts of this year will be upon us before we know it. The projected dates of the remaining biblical seventh month Feasts, are: Trumpets, Aug. 31; Atonement, Sept. 9; Feast of Tabernacles, Sept. 14-20; Last Great Day, Sept. 21. (Trumpets, Tabernacles and Last Great Day could be delayed a day by the new moon.)

Since our last letter, we have published a new booklet, The Lost Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This publication shows many definitive reasons that the traditional temple mount site could not be the where Solomon built the Temple. It is available online as well. The video version has become our most consistently accessed, with over 940,000 views. We have been contacted by both the History Channel and Travel Channel seeking information on this eye-opening breakthrough. The information in the booklet is also a key to end-time prophecy and the return of Yahshua.

We also have good news to share in our latest initiative with the success of our new mobile app. As you may be aware, we seek to be cutting edge in all forms of digital outreach and we praise Yahweh for phenomenal success already. Following is a breakdown to date of the numbers who are downloading the YRM app on various devices: Android – 14,896; Roku – 781; IOS – 240; Apple TV – 6. Total – 15,923. With 24-hour live streaming, views of some of our video programs number into the millions.

One delighted user wrote of the YRM app: “Full of information and packed with media!  Most ministry apps are basic with few features. Not this app. It has a crazy amount of media and literature to read. I can also watch live Sabbath services straight from the app or their live video network. It’s the best Hebrew Roots app out there by miles!”

Yahweh is truly blessing this ministry and we praise Him for you and the growing chorus who desire to share the truth by joining hands to help us reach the world.

Your faithfulness has been a blessing, and is the very means by which work continues in the vineyard of Almighty Yahweh. Your quarterly receipt is enclosed with this mailing.

Who were the first gentiles to undergo New Covenant conversion?

A. Cornelius and his household
B. The Samaritans
C. Disciples at Antioch
D. Greeks who came to the Feast

The Samaritans were neither Jew nor Israelite. They were transplants from Assyrian conquerors, who brought them to Samaria to repopulate the land after the northern 10 tribes were removed from it. Most Jews were prejudiced against the Samaritans, the point of Yahshua’s parable of the Good Samaritan. Their conversion (Acts 8:5-6) was prophesied in Acts 1:8. But it was not a bombshell, like the salvation of Cornelius and his household, who were converted though uncircumcised (Acts 11:2-3). Answer: B.

What were they doing when the Jewish nation is first mentioned in the Bible?

A – Receiving the law
B – Celebrating the Old Covenant
C – Wandering in the desert
D – Fighting a war with Israel

Israel was originally a confederation of twelve tribes. After the death of Solomon the stern, harsh-speaking Rehoboam came to power. Ten northern tribes of Israel broke away in revolt while the southern tribes of Judah and Benjamin remained under the leadership of Judah, where Rehoboam remained King (1Kings 12:21). These became known as the “Jews.” A civil war for unification broke out, which was halted only at the command of Yahweh’s prophet (1Kings 12:22-24). From this point forward, “Israel” and “Judah” have parallel but separate histories in the Bible. Answer: D.

Countdown for Passover
With the Passover/FUB only two days away (Passover memorial being the evening of March 20), we are shifting into turbo gear at YRM. We pray that you are preparing spiritually as you prepare physically by removing all leavening agents and leavened products before sunset Thursday, the beginning high day of the Feast. See list of leavening and leavening agents at https://yrm.org/leavening-agents/ For those distant, we will be broadcasting the Passover service and other Feast services live from yrm.org. You can participate in the Passover wherever you are by taking the unleavened emblems and grape juice in real time. Obviously, if alone, you wlll skip the footwashing.

Offering Is Part of Worship
Each of Yahweh’s feasts carries the command for an offering. Israel could not appear before Him without one. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is no exception: “Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty [handed]),” Exodus 23:15. Our prayer is that you will receive great blessings from your obedience.

New App a Great Success
YRM’s recently launched mobile app is producing response beyond expectations. A breakdown to date of those downloading the app from various platforms is: Android – 697; Roku – 648; IOS – 182; Apple TV – 5. Total – 1,532. Views of some of our programs are into the millions. Yahweh is truly blessing us and we praise Him for all who are joining hands to help us get the true message of salvation to all the world.

Some who don’t like some of Paul’s statements about the law and obedience go so far as to discount all of his writings. Other than the Apostle himself, who in the New Testament vouched for Paul’s writings as true and inspired?

A.Peter and James
B. Yahshua and Peter
C. John the Baptist and James
D. No one

When He sent Ananias to anoint Paul to regain his sight, Yahshua told him that Paul was His specifically chosen vessel to take the truth to the nations and Israel, Acts 9:15-16. Peter admitted that sometimes Paul’s statements are hard to understand and that some who are unlearned and unstable wrest them to their own destruction “as they do the other Scriptures,” 2Peter 3:16. Peter includes Paul’s letters with the other inspired Scriptures. Answer: B.

Happy New Year!

With the confirmation of the barley and new moon of Abib, we say “Happy Biblical New Year!”

Despite a blanket of clouds over much of the central and northern U.S., the new moon of the new year was seen by several observers across the country on March 7. With the new moon confirmed and two groups of barley searchers reporting an abundance of wild, green Abib ears of barley in Israel, we are confident to hold the Passover memorial the evening of March 20. The Feast of Unleavened Bread will be March 22-28 at YRM in Holts Summit as well. We invite all of good will to observe and celebrate Yahweh’s appointed times. You will enjoy worship services along with field trips, seminars, Bible workshops, great meals, and open gymnasium. For lodging, we have 27 dorm rooms in the new activity center, a campground with 12 RV sites with full hookups, and several tent sites available. Please fill out and submit the Passover/Feast registration form at: yrm.org/passover-registration (all fees are listed on the registration form). You must register to secure a dorm, RV or electric tent site. America’s Best Value Inn is two miles away in Holts Summit. Their rates are $60 per night if you mention you are with YRM by phone or in person. Telephone them at 573-896-8787. Other lodging is in Jefferson City (7 miles) and Fulton (16 miles). YRM phone is: 573-896-1000.

The closest airport to Holts Summit is the Columbia Regional Airport. However, it may be more affordable to fly into St. Louis or Kansas City, Missouri. For those taking Greyhound, the closest depot is in Jefferson City, MO. Visitors flying into Kansas City and St. Louis airports will need to provide their own transportation or schedule a pickup and drop-off by Mo-X shuttle service from the airport to the pickup location in Kingdom City. You can reserve a ride online at moexpress.com or by calling (877) 669-4826. If advance notice is given to YRM, the Ministry will provide a shuttle from Kingdom City to Holts Summit.

Get the Leaven Out

Be sure to use up your leavening agents and products before the Feast so that you have none on your property during the Feast. A list of what to look for is at https://yrm.org/leavening-agents/

Travel Channel’s Interest

We received a request by a programming agent from the Travel Channel to use our video on The Lost Temple Mount. This is one of our most popular videos, with close to a million views, as it reveals a number of reasons the Jerusalem temple could not historically be where tradition says it is.

What did Yahshua mean when he stated in John 10:30, “I and my Father are one”?
A. One in person
B. One in goal
C. One in mind
D. Both B and C

In John 10:30, Yahshua referred to Himself and His Father as being one in mind and goal, not one in person. The Restoration Study Bible further explains, “By being ‘one,’ Yahshua refers to their singleness of mind and purpose. It is this same spiritual unification that all people can have with the Father in Messiah Yahshua. See John 17:21, where Yahshua speaks of this uniting of the faithful in their belief as one, but not as the same individual in physical form,” note on John 10:30.

2019 Abib Confirmed!

Abib Barley Confirmed, Passover Memorial Will Be the Evening of March 20, 2019

We have received reports from two different groups who found Abib barley in Israel. With this barley confirmation they also had this observation: “The Jordan Valley is the lushest I have seen in the 18 years of inspecting. That is following the thoughts before coming but certainly confirmed them as did our findings in our early fields at the confluence of the Jezreel and Jordan Valleys.” With this barley confirmation and the projected new moon sighting March 7, we will be observing the Passover memorial the evening of March 20. The photo of an observer in a field of wild barley verifies their report. Brian Convery, trusted observer, wrote, “If you are not aware, this is more than an omer requirement. This field is traditionally one of our early ones near Re’im Junction.”

We invite all of good will to the Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread. The Feast will be March 22-28. You will enjoy worship services along with field trips, seminars, Bible workshops, great meals, and open gymnasium. Come and enjoy Yahweh’s days with us. At this time we have a number of dorm rooms available. Reserve yours now. Please fill out and submit the registration form at: yrm.org/passover-registration/

E-news, March 1, 2019
Passover and Feasts Calendar
We will know by the projected March 7 new moon whether Passover this year will fall on March 20 or April 15 and will announce it in next week’s E-news and online. We observe the start of the biblical year by a specifically defined stage of ripening barley in Israel, called Abib, which was also the name of the month Yahweh established in Exodus 9:31-32 for the Passover. Abib is defined by agriculture and Israel was an agricultural nation. Deuteronomy 16:1 says that Abib is the month to keep Passover. There, “Observe the month of Abib” and keep the Passover, literally reads, “Watch for the new moon of young ears of grain.” Yahweh is specific about when His Feasts occur in the calendar for proper observance. It is popularly assumed that Passover must fall in the astronomical spring because of Leviticus 23:4, where the KJV uses the term seasons. However, “seasons” is from moed in Hebrew and means appointed time, as rightly translated in the NIV Study Bible, Revised Standard Version and others. Establishing Abib is critical not only for Passover but also as the first month of the year it also sets the month for each of the annual Feasts that follow.

Let us know if you spot the new moon the evening of March 7. You can make a report on the New Moon Network under Feasts at yrm.org. For those planning to come for Passover we have numerous rooms available at this time in the recreation center. Also, America’s Best Value Inn is only 2 miles away in Holts Summit. For more information call: 573-896-1000.

Outreach Continues Remarkable Growth
Yahweh is blessing our outreach through the mobile app and yrm.org website. Since it took flight a month ago, our app has more than 800 subscribers. Our YouTube channel has logged a half million minutes of program viewing by 75,000 subscribers in the past 28 days. Since launching the app we also have added 500 subscribers to our Roku channel.

Ark of the Covenant Model
Our thanks to Bro. Gary Mansager for his laborious work assembling a beautiful, life-size model of the Ark of the Covenant! It will be used as a prop in the TV studio for future videos.

Going Back to Molech
Recent news reports on legislation in New York state, Virginia, and now Illinois push the limits on abortion to further liberalize standing statutes on this national atrocity. We as a nation are following the lead of the Canaanites who sacrificed their children to their idol Molech, as one in four women in America will have an abortion by age 45, with 60 percent being mothers. In 2014 we sat down in the YRM TV studios for three interviews with the president of the National Right to Life Committee to discuss the abortion tragedy. You can find them under a YouTube search: Abortion Facts – National Right to Life, Carol Tobias.

TEST YOUR TUTELAGE
What Feasts are mentioned by name in the New Testament?
A. Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), Feast of Tabernacles
B. Day of Atonement, Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), Feast of Tabernacles
C. Feast of Unleavened Bread, Day of Atonement, Feast of Trumpets
D. Passover, Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), Feast of Trumpets

While the Passover is mentioned, it’s technically not a Feast but a memorial as work is not prohibited on Passover day. We find a reference to the Day Atonement in Acts 27:9, where it calls it the “fast.” While the Feast of Trumpets is not indicated by formal name, it is likely found prophetically through Yahshua’s Second Coming (1Thes. 4:16-18). The following Feasts are mentioned by name in the New Testament: Feast of Unleavened Bread (Matt. 26:17; Mark 14:1; Luke 22:1; Acts 12:3; 20:6), Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) (Acts 2:1; 20:16; 1Cor. 16:8) and Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:2).
