2017 Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread
Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry invites you to this year’s Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread (Chag HaMatzot) celebration from the evening of April 10 – 18. This important event will be observed in Holts Summit, Missouri, at YRM’s facilities.
Why observe the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread? Number one and most importantly, they are commanded by Yahweh! And number two, they offer many lessons and insights into His Word. The Passover marks the death of the firstborn of Egypt and the death of Yahweh’s only begotten Son, Yahshua the Messiah. As a special note, those who join us for the Passover Memorial on the evening of April 10 must be baptized by a minister into the Name of “Yahshua” to partake of the emblems.
In addition to the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread also provides for some amazing lessons. It is the first of three annual pilgrimage Feasts and is a time of not only removing the physical leavening, but also the spiritual leavening from our lives. This Feast also commemorates the offering of the wave sheaf (first fruits of the barley harvest) in the Old Testament, Leviticus 23:14-15, and the Messiah’s resurrection in the New Testament, 1Corinthians 15:23.
Worship and Activities
To honor our Father Yahweh we will have worship services along with several Bible studies throughout the Feast, including on the High Days and weekly Sabbath. We will also have several activities throughout the entire celebration.
For lodging, YRM has campground with several RV and tent sites available for a minimal suggested donation. RV sites are assigned and tent sites are on a first-come, first-served basis. Except for primitive camping, all sites have access to electricity. There are also a few sites with full hookups for RVs. Reservations will be available starting February 1. Please note that smoking and alcohol are not permitted on assembly grounds, including the campground.
There is one hotel, America’s Best Value Inn, in Holts Summit, two miles from the Assembly. You can receive discounted rate of $60 per night if you inform the hotel that you are here for the Feast of Unleavened Bread (This discount is valid only by phone or in person). Also, to save tax, you can pay the Ministry for the total lodging and we can then provide a lump sum payment to the hotel using our tax exempt status. However, you will still need to provide a credit card at reservation. To reserve a room, call 573-896-8787. We suggest making your reservation as early as possible, as the rooms fill fast in this hotel.
There are also other hotel options in Jefferson City, MO, 10-15 miles from the Assembly. For more information on lodgings or any other general inquires, go online or contact the Ministry toll free at 844-899-6438. Also, see our Plan a Visit page.
While meals will be the responsibility of individual Feastgoers, we will offer several group meals, including continental breakfasts, throughout the Feast. Remember that no leavening is permitted at YRM during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Airport and Bus Connections
The closest airport to Holts Summit is the Columbia Regional Airport. However, it may be more affordable to fly into St. Louis or Kansas City, Missouri. For those taking Greyhound, the closest depot is in Jefferson City, MO. Due to the distance from the assembly, visitors flying into Kansas City and St. Louis airports will need to provide their own transportation or schedule a pickup and drop-off by Mo-X shuttle service from the airport to the pickup location in Kingdom City. You can reserve a ride online at moexpress.com or by calling (877) 669-4826. If advance notice is given to YRM, the Ministry will provide a shuttle from Kingdom City to Holts Summit.
For the safety of the assembly, especially our children, the Ministry will be conducting background checks from SMART for all those 18 years and older. The Ministry reserves the right to request official identification upon arrival.
To ensure proper respect during worship times and modesty throughout the Feast, we request that the following guidelines be honored: during worship times, men and boys should wear dress shirts and pants. Women and young ladies should wear dresses, skirts that cover the knee or dress pants. If you do not have adequate attire for worship, please come in your best, as we are coming before the King of the Universe. At all times, please avoid immodest shorts, sleeveless, tight or low-cut clothing. Also, women and young ladies should cover their heads during worship and men are to leave their heads uncovered (1Cor. 11:6-7).
Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry asks all who attend to respect our doctrines and not purposely spread discord. Our teachings and worship are in the Names Yahweh and Yahshua only. The Feast is a time to worship and to enjoy the company of like-minded believers, not to engage in doctrinal disputes. If you have a different belief from our Statement of Beliefs, we ask that you discuss it with only YRM’s ministers.
We pray that you will make plans NOW to join us for these special times. The time of reflection and spiritual growth during the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread will be a blessing for all in attendance! May Yahweh bless you in your desire to serve Him!
