“12..11..10…9…8…”
The Feasts Countdown is On!
With the Feast of Trumpets in only two weeks, brethren from the U.S. and around the world are busy making plans for the seventh-month moedim. Ten days from Trumpets is the fast Day of Atonement and then the Feast of Tabernacles, a pilgrim Feast that Yahweh commands all His people to attend. Leviticus 23:39-43 reads, “Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yahweh seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath….And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yahweh seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yahweh your Elohim.

Magazine in Production
We plan to mail the July-August Restoration Times next week, providing there are no press issues. Our electronic press is aging and we will keep it running so long as we can. Breakdowns are the nature of older and highly sophisticated equipment, and all it takes is one misbehaving part. In a little more than a year the dealer will stop servicing our press. One option at that point is to lease. Please pray Yahweh keeps our printer functional!

How long will the Messiah sit at the right hand of the Father?
A – Forever and ever, Amein!
B – Until all things are put under Him
C – He actually stands at the Father’s side

Regarding the Messiah, Psalm 110:1 says, “Sit thou at my right hand, until I make your enemies thy footstool.” While the glory of the Messianic age plays out according to Yahweh’s purposes and timing, very few realize that Yahweh the Father is the ultimate coming One when He shall be all-in-all, 1Cor.15:28. D – He stepped down to become High Priest

Feasts of the Seventh Month Start in Three Weeks

Arrange your finances, re-arrange your appointments, get the car road-ready…are you making preparations for Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles? The blessings of these days begin August 31 and run through Sept. 21, depending on the new moon sighting. If unconfirmed, the Feasts will be delayed a day. We project the following: Trumpets, August 31; Atonement, September 9; Tabernacles, September 14-20 and Last Great Day, September 21. These days all rest on the critical new moon of August 30, which is a Sabbath evening. Mark your calendars, watch for the new moon that night, and report the thin crescent to us.

Isn’t It About Time to Make Your Commitment?

You have heard about the Feasts and you realize that they are commanded by Almighty Yahweh and are to be observed. But when the time comes to answer His call for obedience there always seems to be some obstacle that takes precedence in your life to keep you away—whether from family, job, school, health or finances.

The Adversary knows every angle. He’ll keep you making excuses forever because he wants you to obey him and not your Heavenly Father.

Isn’t it time you stopped listening to him and began heeding Yahweh’s call? Isn’t it time to step out on faith and receive the blessings of obedience and lay claim to the promises that Yahweh has in store now and for eternity for those who obey Him?

Our desire is for all who are of sincere heart to join us at Holts Summit. If you contact us we will send you more information on this exciting Feast of the seventh Scriptural month. Or go online here>>
Make this your year of total obedience.

Eye-opening Facts Today’s Church Avoids.

  • Every time you say “halleluyah” you are praising the Father’s Name (hallel, “praise” + Yah).
  • Yahshua came in His Father’s Name as prophesied. They share the same surname Yah.
  • The Savior and His apostles taught exclusively from the Old Testament, the only Bible in existence.
  • The Gospel was preached to Abraham.
  • Grace and love are Old Testament teachings.
  • Unconditional grace is nowhere taught in the Scriptures.
  • Faith is found throughout the Old Testament.
  • The Holy Spirit is seen throughout the Old Testament.
  • Yahweh never wanted animal sacrifices but the goal was obedience.
  • Resurrection from the dead was first an Old Testament teaching.
  • Salvation was first an Old Testament truth.
  • The Sabbath is found in 60 New Testament passages.
  • The New Testament directly quotes from the Old Testament 263 times.
  • There are more than a thousand commands to obey in the New Testament.
  • The seventh-day Sabbath was observed by the Savior and His disciples.
  • Every one of the Feast days is found and observed in the New Testament.
  • The entire planet will be forced to keep Yahweh’s Feast Days in the coming Kingdom.
  • Christmas, Easter, and Halloween do not exist in Scripture.

Genesis 1:14 is the favorite go-to passage for a variety of calendar teachings. Which of these employ it?

A. Lunar Sabbath

B. Solar calendar

C. Black new moon

D. Vernal Equinox

E. All of these

When a reference is general and vague it can be twisted and massaged to support a number of divergent doctrines. For the solar calendar, calculated calendar, and vernal equinox teachings, the mistake in using Genesis 1:14 is that “seasons” should have been translated “appointed times,” from the Hebrew moedim. “Spring” or “springtime” is not in the definition of Abib, the first month of the year. Agriculture in the time of ancient Israel as well as today sets these appointed times for the feasts and not the sun or seasons. All seven annual Feasts are counted from Abib, which is the Biblical green grain month. That grain, which is barley (Ex. 9:31) ripens in the spring, but spring does not establish or set Abib. Neither do man-defined seasonal markers like the equinoxes and solstices determine Yahweh’s appointed observances. In sum, the biblical calendar is agricultural not solar. The Roman calendar is solar.

Flurry of Baptismal Blessings
For the past several Sabbaths in a row we were blessed to immerse three couples into the Name of Yahshua. One couple traveled from Florida and one from the state of California for immersion. The other couple hailed from Missouri a few hours away. May Yahweh bless their new walk in Yahshua and strengthen them to be good examples of True Worshipers.

New Moon Watch Tonight
The new moon crescent is projected to be seen tonight. We encourage all to watch not only because of the new moon stipulations in Scripture, Isaiah 66:23, but also to orient yourself for the critical Aug. 30 new moon which begins the seventh month and the Feast of Trumpets. That moon will be low, very thin, and borderline in the window of visibility. If it is not seen Aug. 30, the seventh-month feasts will be delayed one day and Tabernacles will have double Sabbaths at both ends. Please report your sightings Here>>

According to Psalm 83, ten nations will form a confederacy for the destruction of Israel and Jerusalem just before Yahshua’s return. Where are these nations today?
A. Europe
B. Asia
C. Orient
D. Middle East
These ancient nations are located in today’s Middle East. The note on Psalm 83:4 in our Restoration Study Bible explains, “Ten nations here form a confederacy to destroy Israel from being a nation. There is no historical account depicting the fulfillment of this Psalm. Therefore, its fulfillment is for the future. These ten nations may identify the ten toes of Daniel and the ten kings of Revelation (Dan. 7:7; Rev. 17:12). The following are the modern locations for these ten nations: (1) Edom – Southern Jordan, (2) Ishmaelites – Arabs, (3) Hagarenes – Egypt, (4) Gebal – Lebanon, (5) Ammon – Northern Jordan, (6) Amalek – Sinai Peninsula, (7) Philistines – Gaza Strip, (8) Tyre – Lebanon, (9) Assur – Syria and Iraq, and (10) Children of Lot – Jordan.”

Yahwehs restoration ministryHot Off the Press – New Outreach Booklet for You.
Our newest booklet is ideal for evangelism. Introducing Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry was written to answer the basic question of who we are along with some of our key teachings. It gives brief and engaging information on the sacred Names and the seventh-day Sabbath. This publication includes a short history of our beginnings and our many avenues of outreach, from television to Internet to Bible truth literature. It has photos of our facilities at Holts Summit, how to contact us and a map on how to get here. We believe this is the perfect tool for reaching out to your community and pray you will avail yourself of copies to distribute. It will be put online in the coming weeks.

New Moon Watch August 1, Critical Moon August 30
We are entering the important months of the upcoming Feasts where the new moon takes center stage. Next week’s new moon is the last regular crescent before the Trumpets new moon, possibly Aug. 30. We project a highly unlikely sighting for the night of August 30, but all need to make an effort to spot it. It is important to look for the moons preceding the Trumpets’ moon to orient yourself to its location in the sky. If the moon is not reported the night of August 30, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles will all be delayed one day and we will have double Sabbaths during Tabernacles. New moon sightings can be reported here>>

We always project and publish the calendar for the earliest possible dates, as it is easier to delay a day than to go back a day when making preparations. The calendar can be found here>>

What is the oldest city mentioned first in the Bible that still exists today?

A. Damascus
B. Babylon
C. Jerusalem
D. Ramses

Although Babel (Babylon) is mentioned first (Gen 10:10), it is no longer operating as a city. Jerusalem is mentioned in Gen 14:18 (called “Salem” then) but is trumped by Damascus mentioned in Gen 14:15. In light of Bible prophecy, world events, and modern attempts to revive the city of Babylon, someday the answer to this question may change.

Answer: A

Times change, Truth does not.

Best Friend

BEST FRIEND

Many lives appear the same yesterday, today and forever more.
With life rushing past so quickly, how do you behave when the one who is your
best friend comes to your door?

Is there an awareness that, day or night, your friend is by your side?
A friend so close that rides with you as your mind wanders here and there,
your thoughts open and clear, things you don’t think to change or hide?

Your friend is your salvation and he is there when, perhaps, you unthinkingly complain.
He is there when situations and thoughts of every sort occur – so many “what ifs” or “buts” that it’s difficult to name.

Do you share your highs and not just your lows?
Calling on him as your very best friend who is wonderful to know?

Do you delight yourself in knowing he is there for whatever situation that
comes your way?
Even when you are asleep, he is right there. And, if a frightening dream should appear, he is with you – able to lead you again in peace to stay.

Do you remember him when you are at work or play?
Do you carry yourself knowing he is your unseen guest every day?

Too hot, too cold, too long, too short and more.
May we be found not being too arrogant, too fearful and or unbelieving when he is at your door.

Praise Yahweh that he gives each of us time to learn.
A contrite spirit and a repentant heart he will not spurn.

Come for the Feast of Tabernacles
With only two months remaining until the Feasts of the seventh month, we pray you are making preparations to be with us for Tabernacles the evening of September 14-21 (depending on the new moon sighting, the September feasts may be observed a day later). This prophetic Feast will open your eyes to Yahshua’s first and second coming and our Father’s plan of salvation for mankind, when Yahshua will govern this earth with His saints, Revelation 20:6.

If you have never kept the Feast with us, make this the year to begin your walk of obedience, Leviticus 23:33-44. Above all, the Feast is a time to worship Almighty Yahweh (Lev. 23:1). To follow this command, there will be daily worship services along with several Bible studies throughout the Feast. We will also have a baptismal service for those seeking immersion into Yahshua’s Name. Don’t miss the traditional Night of Special Music where all can participate. To honor our Father in heaven, we ask that Feastgoers make an effort to attend each day, as this is a commanded eight-day observance.

In addition to inspiring and informative messages, children’s classes, and adult Bible workshops at the Feast, we have several sports activities planned, Hebrew dancing, a western-themed day for all, a day at the lake, and much more! What did Yahshua mean when He stated in John 10:30, “I and my Father are one”?

A. One in person
B. One in goal
C. One in mind

D. Both B and C

In John 10:30, Yahshua referred to Himself and His Father as being one in mind and goal, not one in person. The Restoration Study Bible further explains, “By being ‘one,’ Yahshua refers to their singleness of mind and purpose. It is this same spiritual unification that all people can have with the Father in Messiah Yahshua. See John 17:21, where Yahshua speaks of this uniting of the faithful in their belief as one, but not as the same individual in physical form,” note on John 10:30.

Answer: D.

Two Sabbath Immersions
The brethren at Holts Summit welcomed a couple into the Body of Messiah through immersion on Sabbath, July 6. Tad and Shelly Collier have been long-time followers of the YRM ministry and said it was time to commit to Yahweh through the waters of baptism. Please keep them in prayer as they begin new lives in Messiah Yahshua.

Outreach Efforts Bear Fruit
We continue reaching out with Truth in any way we can. One cost-effective way you can do your part is through the Outreach Partnership  program. We keep you supplied with literature to distribute. We will soon have an attractive booklet introducing  YRM for this purpose.

Successful ways to circulate literature include: Placing tracts in laundromats; doctor’s offices (ask permission first); waiting rooms in hospitals, beauty shops and auto repair shops; public library reference sections by leaving one in an appropriate reference book; booths at state fairs; or handing out wherever crowds gather. Be creative. More information on the Outreach program is at: www.yrm.org/outreach.

Grounds Beautification Continues
Bros. Ryan Mansager, James Duenow, and Lucas Cecil have been busy sprucing up YRM’s building and grounds in preparation for the Feasts of the seventh month this September. The landscaping around the road sign is the latest to get a facelift (see photo).

TEST YOUR TUTELAGE
We know we can’t “earn” salvation by our good works, Eph.2:8-9. Surely the Old Testament doesn’t say the same thing, when the believer had to follow a strict code of obedience to many laws, correct?

A – No, salvation was strictly by one’s obedience to law in the Old Testament.

B – Yes, the same impossibility of “earning” applies to salvation in the Old Testament. See Ezekiel 33:13.

C – No one knows for sure.

D – The only one who earned His salvation was Yahshua, by His perfect life.

Many think all the rules changed in the New Testament. Not true. Grace does not replace the law and love does not negate obedience. We find these same teachings operating in both testaments (see the RSB chart on p. 1408). Our efforts can only render us worthy of salvation. But His grace is what opens the door.

Answer:  B and D.

New Outreach Booklet Introduces YRM

Because Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry’s major focus is taking the Truth to the world, we will soon publish a new, evangelistic brochure introducing YRM. It briefly explains our history, major beliefs, our location and our services. It shows the importance of Yahweh’s Name and the Sabbath from a fundamental standpoint. It includes information on our website and app as well as our teaching programs and live Sabbath services. The publication is designed for evangelism in the local community. Plans are to use it in our own area in a door-to-door outreach program. Our Outreach Partners should find it valuable in their own efforts to spread the Truth. We would like to hear of the successful ways it is used so we can share with everyone. Watch for it.

Is the Heart a Pagan Symbol?

The heart shape and its love connection goes back 2,600 years. A plant called silphium had seed pods in the shape of the heart. The plant was used for a number of medicinal purposes, especially for birth control. According to www.atlasobscura.com, the numismatist T.V. Buttrey claimed the exports of the plant silphium and its resins made Cyrene the richest city on the continent at the time. The plant was so economically valuable that Cyrenians began printing it on their money (see coin image). Silver coins from the 6th century B.C. are imprinted with images of the plant’s seed pods that have the common heart shape.

In Acts Chapter 10, Peter was instructed to kill and eat unclean animals. How many times did he eat them?

A. Three times

B. Two times, having declined the first time

C. Never

D. The message got through and Peter began eating pork from then on

Though filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter wondered what the vision meant. Upon learning of a new Gentile convert, Cornelius, he concluded that the vision instructed him not to reject the “unclean” Gentiles, whose hearts were purified by faith. “What Elohim hath cleansed, that call not thou common,” Acts 10:15. He declined to eat the first time, and on each occasion he still declined to eat. If he had eaten on an occasion or two, he could not assert his purity in a subsequent repeat of the vision. Peter did not compromise his faith by accepting unclean animals as food. The account also shows that the law was still being observed by His apostles 10 years after the resurrection of the Messiah Yahshua. This account hearkens back to Ezekiel’s vision where in baking “Ezekiel bread” he was given cow’s dung over human dung (Ezek. 4:12-15), and the test of the Rechabites (Jer. 35), who refused to drink the forbidden wine set before them. In each of these tests they maintained their integrity. Answer: C

Restoration Times Out for Delivery

The May-June Restoration Times was mailed this week, thanks to the many volunteers of all ages who helped with the mailing (photo attached). We are determined to catch up on our publishing schedule. The demands of an early Abib, along with work on YRM facilities, including the guest house (see photos below), after extreme weather conditions the past six months have added to the delay . We are still in need of contributions for the kitchen remodel at the main building. We will get as much done as funding allows before the Feast of Tabernacles.

Feast Preparations in Full Swing

Included with the magazine mailing is the 2019 Feast of Tabernacles reservation form to complete and return if you have not yet done so. Now is the time to plan for this special ingathering (Sept. 14-31) as we gather at Holts Summit for a week of intense learning, unforgettable fellowship, fun activities for all ages, and a time to renew friendships while making fresh ones.

Tabernacles and the Last Great Day highlight a year of sacred appointments. But does Yahweh allow us to pick and choose which Feast days we will honor and which to ignore? If we accept one, then Scripturally we must accept them all. All of Yahweh’s Holy Days are presented as a package to us to observe, with the admonition that these are the Feasts of Yahweh (not just Feasts of Jews), Leviticus 23:4. To argue that these special days are “Mosaic Law” and therefore are done away is to be ignorant of the many statements in Scripture telling us that these are Yahweh’s observances, not mere observances of Moses.

John wrote, “Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word which you have heard from the beginning,” 1John 2:7. The only Word they had at that time was the Old Testament. The Old Testament is the only context from which John could speak. Verse 24 continues, “Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.”

Yahshua kept every one of the Feast days. He said He had kept His Father’s commandments and we are to follow Him, John 15:10. He did so perfectly, without fail, 1Peter 2:21-22.

Yahshua often prayed to Yahweh with the honorable title “Father.” After Yahshua’s resurrection, which appellation(s) did the Apostles use?

A – Father

B – Yahweh

C – Sovereign

D – “Father” only

Interestingly, we have no example of the Apostles ever using the term “Father” in prayer, though we can be sure, by the Messianic example, that the apostles used that title in their devotional life. The two Apostolic prayers that are recorded use the title “Sovereign” and the holy name “Yahweh” based on an analysis of the Greek construct in those passages (Acts 1:24; 4:24, 29). We know from instructions in the Psalms that they had to use the holy name in worship. An overview of all the facts indicates that the Apostles used whatever Name or title was appropriate for the occasion, and did not invoke the “Father” only, as some have suggested.
