New Moon Tonight

Be sure to watch for the Abib new moon crescent tonight after sunset. This all-important moon of the first month is key to Passover and all the Feasts this year. Please report it to the new moon website when you observe it: https://yrm.org/new-moon-network/

Abib Barley ‘Ample’

We were asked about the conditions of the barley in Israel. With the COVID 19 outbreak, we are unsure whether anyone is looking for the Abib barley this month. However, based on last month’s reports, there should be ample Abib barley to mark this new moon as Abib. Here is a correspondence received today from a faithful Abib reporter who goes to Israel every year, including last month: “I can tell you will a high degree of certainty that east of Ashkelon there were multiple locations that would be ready for a wavesheaf today if not sooner. Not a lot of them, but certainly more than enough to meet any requirements. Those locations would also qualify for harvestable fields once wavesheaf comes along. There are also locations in some other areas that were coming along very nicely but not being there I would not be confident in saying they actually would be.”

YRM Temporarily Worshiping Online

Missouri’s governor has a current order limiting gatherings to less than 10 people to reduce spread of COVID-19.  It has been indicated that this order will remain in effect for several more weeks. Due to the current conditions, YRM has made the difficult decision to limit our worship services during this time to our online format. This includes the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread.

There are clear examples in the Bible of isolating ourselves during time of disease.  And, although certainly not the same, we know that the angel of death came through Egypt during Passover causing the Israelite’s to remain in their individual dwellings.  We are blessed to live in a time when, even though we may be physically separated, we’re still able to worship together as one people through technology.

This will be an adjustment, but YRM is committed to getting Yahweh’s Word out no matter what our current circumstances.  May Yahweh bless everyone, keep you safe and healthy, and until we physically meet again, we’ll continue to do so online! Watch Online Here>>

Passover Provisions

For those taking the Passover memorial online the evening of April 7, be sure to obtain the necessary items beforehand, including grape juice and matos or unleavened crackers. Unleavened recipes are at: https://yrm.org/unleavened-recipes/  Also, have a basin of water for the footwashing at hand. If you are alone this part of the service is skipped. If you are low risk of COVID-19, you might consider contacting a fellow believer of the same gender whom you can observe the Passover with, including the foot washing. You will need to remove all leavening and leavening agents from your home by Passover. For a list of leavening agents to go: https://yrm.org/leavening-agents/

Special provision will be made for local seniors at Holts Summit who are unable to connect online for the memorial.

For the Feast of Unleavened Bread be sure to include unleavened bread of some form with daily meals, April 9-15.

Electronic Passover and Feast
Because of the Corona virus national quarantine, we will broadcast the Passover memorial service and high day services live online. Worshiping remotely is an option in light of the virus outbreak. We have a biblical precedent for quarantine in Leviticus 13 with leprosy.
YRM Bible Study Canceled for the Next Two Sabbaths
Because of the spartan Sabbath attendance resulting from local quarantine, we will cancel Sabbath Bible study for the next two weeks. We will, however, be broadcasting the Sabbath services live online.
Pray for Yahweh’s People and the Nation
At this time we should all go to Yahweh with prayer and fasting. May Yahweh protect His people and have mercy on our nation, as He spared Nineveh when they repented. “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.” 2Chronicles 7:13-15.
Abib New Moon March 25
We encourage all to look for and report the new moon crescent March 25, as this will start the 14 day count to Passover, evening of April 7.
Yahweh’s Cleanliness Laws for Sickness
Yahweh had the Centers for Disease Control beat by 4,000 years! In the Levitical laws of cleanliness Yahweh instructs how to stem the spread of germs. In Leviticus 15 is what to do in cases of a discharge, like mucus from a viral sickness:
“And Yahweh spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean. And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness. Every bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and everything, whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean. And whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And he that sitteth on anything whereon he sat that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. … and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. And the vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be broken: and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water. And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean,” Leviticus 15:2-13.

What is the first thing the believer should strive for?
A. A personal relationship with Yahshua.
B. Truth.
C. The Kingdom
D. Justice
All of the choices listed above are good. But Yahshua explicitly commanded us to seek first the Kingdom of His Father (Matt 6:32-33). His emphasis on the Father’s will interprets this expression for us. By “Kingdom” He means “rulership.” That is, seek Yahweh’s rulership in your life. This is proven by the entire expression in that passage: “But seek ye first His Kingdom and Righteousness.” One of the most pathetic of circumstances is one who refuses to understand biblical imperatives and makes the physical his or her top priority, yet claims to know Yahweh “in his heart.” Answer: C

FUB and COVID-19 Update!

With the current situation with COVID-19, we would encourage you to consider watching our online Passover Memorial and High Day services instead of traveling to Missouri. Under the current conditions and the unknown threat, we believe that this is the best course of action. This also follows scriptural principle, which speaks of separating ourselves in times of disease and sickness, for example Lev. 13:4-5. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy!

Passover Memorial: April 7 (evening)

Feast of Unleavened Bread: April 9-15

Worship Viewership Growing
Our live Sabbath services each week host nearly 400 connections over several media platforms. That means as many as 800 viewers could join our Sabbath services, as each computer or device statistically hosts an average of two participants hearing the neglected truths of the Bible. Praise Yahweh. The live stream can be found on Youtube, Facebook, Roku and Our App!

Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread in 25 Days
We pray you are making arrangements for Yahweh’s commanded moedim of Abib, April 7 and 9-15. Use up any leavening and leavening agents before the Feast. Be diligent to check your salt shakers, as some suppliers add sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) to their salt. The same for bottled drinking water, as some brands are enhanced for taste with bicarbonate of soda. In a week and a half we will be observing the new moon of Abib (March 25) and call on your help in sighting the thin crescent.

What about the Coronavirus?
A few have asked in light of the virus scare whether we will still be hosting Passover and the Feast at Holts Summit. Worship of Yahweh is the utmost priority in the lives of believers. We will keep Yahweh’s holy days so long as we are physically able, and as always we trust in the providence of Yahweh.

Practice Good Hygiene
To minimize the spread of any virus it is necessary to take the following steps:
* Viruses spread from person to person via tiny water droplets when we cough, sneeze, and even talk. Sneeze and cough into your shirtsleeve and not into the air. Droplets can travel six feet in the air. Keep an arm’s length away from others.
*Minimize or eliminate hand shaking.
*Don’t touch your nose, eyes and mouth.
*Wash your hands often.

“Yehovah” is the closest pronunciation of our Creator’s Name.

A. True
B. False

The pronunciation “Yehovah” is a hybrid of the four Hebrew letters of Heavenly Father’s Name (i.e., yod-hey-waw-hey) and Adonai. Based on scholarship, the correct pronunciation is Yahweh. Consider the following reference: “Jehovah [or Yehovah], an erroneous pronunciation of the name of the God of Israel in the Bible, due to pronouncing the vowels of the term ‘Adonay,’ the marginal Masoretic reading with the consonants of the text-reading ‘Yahweh,’ which was not uttered to avoid the profanation of the divine name of magical or other blasphemous purposes. Hence the substitution of ‘Adonay,’ the ‘Lord,’ or ‘Adonay Elohim,’ ‘Lord God.’ The oldest Greek versions use the term ‘Kurios,’ ‘Lord,’ the exact translation of the current Jewish substitute for the original Tetragrammaton Yahweh. The reading ‘Jehovah’ can be traced to the early Middle Ages and until lately was said to have been invented by Peter Gallatin (1518), confessor of Pope Leo X. Recent writers, however, trace it to an earlier date; it is found in Raymond Martin’s Pugeo Fidei (1270)” (Encyclopedia Americana, vol. 16, p. 8). Passover and Feast Mailing

The Passover-Feast of Unleavened Bread will be April 7 and 9-15 at Holts Summit. Be sure to mark your calendar for sighting and reporting the new moon crescent Wednesday, March 25. Today we postal-mailed an unleavened recipe brochure, information on what constitutes leavening, and a donation slip for the Feast of Unleavened Bread. A reminder to continue using up the leavened products and leavening agents in your kitchen now rather than toss them out at the last minute. This is also a good time for spring cleaning as you hunt for hidden bread, crackers, cookies and crumbs, etc. in your home. We look forward to seeing you at Holts Summit for these first of the yearly appointed times of Scripture.

A Sea of Glass

Those who attend Sabbath services each week are often dazzled by the shine on the dining room floor. Our gratitude to Dreama Simmons for her diligence in making the facilities spotless and sparkling for worship each Sabbath.

Prepare for the Feast of Unleavened Bread April 9-15
The first Feast of the biblical new year is coming fast to Holts Summit. For this feast we remove all leavening and leavening agents from our homes prior to the week-long observance. Rather than waste leavened foods by discarding them at the last minute, we suggest using them up beforehand. A list of leavening agents to remove prior to the Feast is at https://yrm.org/leavening-agents/ You can also find unleavened recipes at https://yrm.org/unleavened-recipes/ For more Feast information, and to fill out an application form, go to: https://yrm.org/feast-of-unleavened-bread-2020-registration/

ANOTHER BLAST FROM THE PAST

Where it began – Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry was launched 21 years ago with the purpose of restoring biblical truths neglected for 2,000 years. The decision was made to build a local meeting place after about four years of gathering in homes and several public libraries in central Missouri and northern Arkansas.

In Ezra (2:59-63) and Nehemiah (7:61-65) certain Levites among many candidates were denied participation in the rites of the priesthood. Why?

A. They had defiled themselves irrecoverably.
B. They were a wild bunch.
C. They had no children to whom they could pass on their knowledge.
D. Their genealogy was uncertain.

Those who study the prophets of the Bible are stricken by the narrowness and precision of their ministry. The priests barred in Ezra/Nehemiah had uncertain genealogy, and were deemed as though polluted until a priest could minister with Urim and Thummim (perhaps to divine their true standing). Note that the contemporary prophets Zechariah and Haggai were not summoned to settle the matter. From this, two lessons emerge: Questions of ministerial qualification must be answered satisfactorily before taking office; and prophets may be inquired of, but are not to be pestered with every question that comes along. With so many Levites already within reach, this was no emergency.

Restoration Times Magazine on Its Way
The January-February Restoration Times magazine was mailed this week. You can read it online as well. We inserted the 2020 biblical calendar with all the Feast dates and new moon sighting projections, as well as a reservation form for those attending Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread April 7 and 9-15. The biblical calendar is online as well. We pray you are planning to join us in Holts Summit for these commanded moedim of the new year.
Israel Barley Not Ready for Early Passover
Two reliable searchers now in Israel have both reported that the Abib barley is nowhere ready for a Passover in March. Therefore our projected April 7 date for Passover still stands. Israel has been under heavy rains this winter. We thank Bro. John Illgen for his diligence and we appreciate being included in his findings. Also a thank you to searchers Brian and Linda Convery.
Workstation Upgrade Fund
A reminder that your help is needed to upgrade our workstation computer. This machine is responsible for our videos, publications and other office tasks. Any help you can give is appreciated.
Beware Texas Roadhouse
We have confirmed reports that  Texas Roadhouse restaurants coat their potatoes and sweet potatoes with bacon grease.
And Remember…
Constant Bible study is necessary for proper retention. The ancient Jewish teacher Hillel said, “Reviewing a lesson a hundred times cannot be compared with reviewing it a hundred and one times.” The same is true when hearing a sermon. As someone once observed, “We hear only half of what is said, listen to half of what we hear, understand half of it, believe half of it and remember half of that.

Restoration Times Soon Mailed
The January-February issue of the magazine should be in the mail next week. We have been hampered by workload constraints and press breakdowns. Our seven-year-old press has an expiration date of less than two years when the company will no longer service our equipment. The latest Restoration Times can be read online here>>
Rebranding the Network
The YRM Network is now the Restoration Channel to harmonize better with our ministry goal of bringing back lost Bible truth. The streaming channel broadcasts every hour of every day and is bringing in new viewers daily. Now that our video production facility is modernized and streamlined, we plan to start making more video recordings and experiment with new kinds of subjects, hosts, and formats.
Fund for New Central Workstation
We hated to see it happen, but it was inevitable. The time has come to replace the main editing workstation at YRM. We have run the legs off this equipment for the last eight years, serving up hundreds of videos, publications, and Web content that has been viewed by MILLIONS. It’s an understatement to say we got our money’s worth!
We would not seek your help unless this was a critical need. As it stands the present computer system will not last much longer as it struggles even to keep up with software updates. This commercial Apple computer came out in 2012! Over the years we added as many fixes and upgrades as we could to shore up the old workhorse. Its performance and lack of security features are now impacting the work. The lagging operating speed is frustrating and costing us time.
Some of the necessary funds have been received. However, this specialized equipment and storage can cost over $10,000 and we are still short of what’s needed. Any help you can give toward the fund will be greatly appreciated and will insure that YRM keeps producing content that reaches the world and teaches the truth of Yahweh for years to come. We have big plans for the future of YRM and this equipment upgrade is essential.
If the fund exceeds what we are asking, we can future-proof the new equipment for several years more. Donations are tax deductible. Thank you and may Yahweh bless your generosity!

How many times does the word “Sabbath” appear in the New Testament of the KJV?
A. 0
B. 30
C. 60
D. 90
The word “Sabbath” appears an amazing 60 times in the New Testament of the KJV. In contrast, the phrase “first day” occurs only 12 times and not once refers to Sunday as a day of worship. The biblical record indisputably confirms that the Messiah and apostles in the New Testament worshiped on the seventh-day Sabbath with no evidence offered for Sunday. Sunday was never introduced in the Bible as a day of worship, but is admittedly an invention of the Roman Church. The supposed evidence of the Messiah being resurrected Sunday morning is also incorrect. Based on the chronology of Yahshua’s passion in the evangels, He died Wednesday at about the ninth hour, approx. 3:00 pm, and was resurrected late on the Sabbath, i.e., Saturday before sunset.  Correct: C

Video Equipment Upgrade Means Exciting Programs

New video programs will soon be on the way once key improvements are complete. With the upgrades in equipment and technology we should have the ability to do remote, network-news quality videos through Skype. One exciting initiative is to have live interviews from Israel with Elder Don Esposito, a longtime resident of the country. He has agreed to partner with YRM to do “boots on the ground” reporting of events, bypassing any possible news bias. He also is very knowledgeable about the country of Israel, its history, and archaeology.

Bro. Paul Hinson Passes

We are sad to report that longtime Brother Paul Hinson, 80, passed away on January 27.  Paul was a faithful follower of Yahshua and very devoted to wife Cathey. From early on He was a big part of YRM, totally dedicated in his life in keeping the Sabbath and all Feasts. Bro. Paul had many talents, and the most memorable was his gift in song, as he sang numerous special numbers with Cathey through the years. Condolences may be left for Cathey and family at YRM. Listen to Bro. Paul sing: When I Wake Up. A truly fitting song from our dear, dear brother.

When Yahshua proved the doctrine of the resurrection to the Sadducees (Matt. 22:23-32), why did he quote from the Torah (Ex. 3:15) rather than the Prophets or Psalms, which speak of the resurrection abundantly?

A. The Torah was easy to understand

B. The Sadducees accepted only the Torah

C. That passage actually comes from the book of Mysteries

D. The Master liked to quote Exodus 3:15

There is no Bible book called “Mysteries.” The Sadducees accepted only the Torah as true Scripture. To settle the matter, Yahshua had to use agreed-upon references. While engaging others in Biblical apologetics, it is good to put yourself in their shoes, and use source materials they can relate to.
